We aim to be fair, reasonable and sympathetic in all our dealings with clients, and to act always with integrity.
We will meet all our legal and regulatory responsibilities, usually going far beyond the minimum obligations.
If something does go wrong, we will try to put it right. Our overriding aim is to ensure that every client is satisfied with our services.
The conditions which rule the contract between the company and the traveler, are the travel regulations approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the State of Spain and the European Commission.
Any bookings, whether in person, online, or by phone or by other means, implies full acceptance of each and every one of the sections of this brochure and the detailed programs of each trip or departure.
Our contract with you. From the time we receive your signed booking form and initial payment, a contract exists between you and Paths of Culture Barcelona operated by Viajes Culturales Centro Europeo S.L.
Eligibility to Travel. You must be in good health and have a level of physical and mental fitness that would not impair other participants’ enjoyment by slowing them down or by absorbing disproportionate attention from the tour leaders. Please read Fitness and take the self-assessment tests described there; by signing the booking form you are stating that you have understood what we are asking of you and are fit to participate. If you have a medical condition or a disability which may affect your holiday or necessitate special arrangements being made for you, please discuss this with us before booking – or, if the condition develops or changes subsequently, as soon as possible before departure. If during the tour it transpires, in the judgement of the tour leaders, that you are not able to cope, you may be asked to opt out of certain visits or to leave the tour altogether. This would be at your own expense. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking without necessarily giving a reason.
Spanish Law. These conditions form part of your contract with Paths of Culture Barcelona operated by Viajes Culturales Centro Europeo SL and are governed by Spanish law. All proceedings shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
To book any Trip, you must make an advance payment (which amount is indicated in the travel program) on the day of enrollment. The rest of the payment must be made, at most, until the deadline indicated in each program. The reserved and unpaid places in the indicated terms will be canceled.
For university or student groups, you will be informed about the special group payment deadlines and policies.
Tour cancellation by the Organiser:
We may decide to cancel a tour if there were insufficient bookings. We would refund you with everything you had paid us.
Tour cancellation by the Participant:
These combined group trips are subject to special economic contracting conditions. The cause is the prepayments imposed by the various services reserved in the circuits for groups (flights, transport, hotels, visits, etc.) with prices and special payment conditions. Any cancellation of a participant affects the reservations and payments made by the group as a whole. Therefore, in addition to being governed by the general conditions of current regulations, cancellations have the following specific cancellation costs:
1.- Management fees: Once a reservation is made, any cancellation has a management fee of 30 euros.
2.- Cancellation fees on the coach circuits:
Between 90 and 15 days before the departure of the trip: Loss of the advance or pay and signal requested by the reservation occurs.
Between 14 and 7 days: 50% of the total price of the trip.
Between 6 days and departure: 100% of the total price of the trip.
Non-presentation: Failure to appear at the time of departure entails the loss of 100% of the amount, whatever the cause.
On all our trips we have included in the price a travel insurance that covers basic medical assistance and other possible incidents that occur DURING a trip. Therefore, there is no need to worry about it. You can request more information about this policy in our offices. This insurance DOES NOT INCLUDE the cancellation expenses BEFORE departure, whatever the cause. See Cancellation Insurances just below.
On the other hand, if your are an european citizen, we recommend that you take the European Health Card, which is issued by your national Social Security.
For non-EU citizen, we recommend to contract your personal health insurance
To avoid any incident before a trip, we recommend taking out a cancellation insurance that covers an unforeseen (non-pre-existing) serious illness, personal accident, hospitalization or family death that occurred before departure, in accordance with the policy conditions. This insurance must be contracted at the time of making the final confirmation and payment of the trip (and not later) in our offices.
Our Insurance partner is AXA, the leading european insurer company.
The organizers of the trips have the possibility of modifying the schedules, visits and itineraries if some exceptional, meteorological, security or force majeure cause justifies it, and always for the benefit of the welfare and safety of the participants.
The organizers cannot take charge of the incidents and economic expenses originated during the trips and departures for reasons of force majeure, for circumstances unrelated to the organization or for meteorological causes, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, sanitary problems, strikes, social or political conflicts, manifestations, riots, breakdowns, delays, incidents on roads, means of transport and airports or in other public or private contracted services.
Any booking implies fully acceptance of all sections of this brochure. These rules have been published on January 1, 2020.
